This drive system is suitable for use with the FF-500R CNC-ready milling machine and optional UT-400R CNC-ready rotary axis. The controller includes all four channels, so you can upgrade from three axes to four axes at any time.

Advanced parameter supervision (APS) continuously monitors position, velocity and acceleration on all axes, preventing over-travel and other mechanical damage due to mis-configured soft limits or other exceptions during normal operation.

CNC-500 may be connected directly to a computer parallel port using the supplied cable, or to a dedicated motion controller with a step/direction type interface. Known compatible motion controllers include Warp9 SmoothStepper (USB), OEMTech ncPod (USB), Geckodrive G100 (USB/ethernet) and others.

We supply setup guides and configuration files for Artsoft Mach3 CNC software using the internal motion controller and your computer parallel port (recommended for desktop computers with a parallel port), or using the optional Warp9 SmoothStepper USB motion controller (recommended for laptop computers without a parallel port). These files are available for download below.
